THE VOICE OF PUBLIC IN ODESA OBLAST COURTS PERFORMANCE EVALUATION

Timeframe: February– September 2015

Project objective: help improve courts’ performance in Odesa oblast taking into consideration public expectations and opinion of court visitors by conducting a survey with the help of the citizen report cards (CRC) methodology.

Activities:

to assess what court visitors think about the quality and performance of 27 courts of Odesa oblast with the help of the citizen report cards methodology;
to identify critical performance indicators in 27 courts of general jurisdiction in Odesa oblast;
to develop and present recommendations on how the performance of 27 courts of general jurisdiction in Odesa oblast can be improved and to introduce a monitoring system to follow up on the implementation of these recommendations;
to share the survey findings and recommendations with other courts, judicial authorities, citizens and mass media.
