FORMS AND METHODS OF PUBLIC ATTRACTION

This handbook contains materials of a training program “Forms and methods of public attraction” introduced by CCC Counterpart Center in partnership with the Civil Society Institute within the project “Voice of Community”. The handbook contains information on theoretical legal basis of public participation, mechanisms and forms of citizens' participation within current legislation, perspectives of strengthening the influence of community on power actions, foreign and Ukrainian experience of interaction with power. Materials on practice of public participation in decision making by public authorities were to a certain extent prepared by the training program participants from Alchevsk, Kolomyia, Komsomolska, Lutsk, Makiivka, and Chernihiv. The handbook is intended for community activists, employees of local autonomous bodies, representatives of civil society organizations, who eager to influence social processes essentially by asserting their rights, for public power system representatives too.

Legal Regulation of Citizen Access to Mechanisms for Settling Public and Civil Disputes. Research Report

The publication contains results of analysis of national legislation regulating citizen access to mechanisms of settling public and civil disputes judicially and extrajudicially. Particular attention is paid to the court of arbitration, being actively developing in Ukraine at the moment. The publication is intended for a wide range of readers, lawyers and public activists in particular.

The edition includes articles on courts of arbitration and their legal proceedings. In particular, it covers historical basis for courts of arbitration, its place in Ukraine's justicement; procedure of creation and registration, trial process, decision implementation and so on. As a result of the research conduction qualitative and quantitative information was gathered. Its thorough analysis provided opportunity to achieve the goal and to fulfill the tasks of the research, i.e.: to determine the experience and capacity of the Ukrainian non-governmental organizations in the field of public interests protection; to study the needs of organizations in advocacy technologies; to identify priority social spheres and problems and to find out NGO experience and readiness to take part in activities aimed at corruption counteraction.
